Getting Started with Axnify: Your First Store in 10 Minutes

Setting up your first store on Axnify takes less than 10 minutes — no technical skills required. This step-by-step guide walks you through every stage, from creating your account to making your first sale.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Head to admin.axnify.com/register and fill in your details. Choose a store name that represents your brand — this becomes your free subdomain (yourstore.axnify.com). You can add a custom domain later at any time.

No credit card is required. The Free plan gives you everything you need to get started: 25 products, 500MB storage, a custom domain, and full access to the theme editor.

Step 2: Configure Your Store Settings

Once logged in, navigate to Settings to configure the essentials:

  • Currency: Set your primary currency. Enable additional currencies for international selling
  • Shipping: Create shipping zones and set rates. Offer free shipping above a threshold to increase average order value
  • Payments: Connect Stripe to accept credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. The setup takes about 2 minutes
  • Tax: Enable automatic tax calculation based on customer location
  • Localisation: Add additional languages for your storefront

Step 3: Add Your First Products

Navigate to Products → New Product. Fill in the essentials:

  • Title and Description: Write compelling copy that focuses on benefits. Use the rich text editor for formatted descriptions with images
  • Images: Upload high-quality product photos. Axnify automatically generates thumbnails and optimised sizes
  • Pricing: Set your price and optional compare-at price for sale items
  • Variants: Add size, colour, or material options with individual pricing and inventory tracking
  • Inventory: Enable stock tracking to automatically prevent overselling

Repeat for each product. Use the bulk editor for faster setup when adding many similar products.

Step 4: Customise Your Theme

Open the Theme Editor to make your storefront uniquely yours. The visual editor lets you:

  • Drag and drop sections — hero banners, product grids, testimonials, newsletters, and more
  • Change colours and fonts using the Typography panel with 50+ Google Fonts
  • Customise the header with your logo, navigation menu, search bar, and cart icon
  • Design the footer with link columns, social icons, and payment badges
  • Preview your changes across desktop, tablet, and mobile in real time

Step 5: Organise with Categories and Collections

Structure your store so customers can find what they are looking for:

  • Categories: Create a hierarchical category tree (e.g. Clothing → Mens → T-Shirts)
  • Collections: Group products thematically (e.g. "Summer Collection", "Best Sellers", "Under 20 Pounds")

Step 6: Go Live

When you are ready, your store is already live at your axnify.com subdomain. To use your own domain:

  1. Go to Settings → Domains
  2. Enter your domain name
  3. Create a CNAME record in your DNS provider
  4. Wait 15-30 minutes for DNS propagation
  5. Axnify automatically provisions an SSL certificate
